Hello my name is Jordan. I'm a young therapist in the works. Originally when I started college, I wanted to be a forensic psychologist/lawyer. My pathway became exclusively psychology after a semester or two. I'm glad this happened because I found my passion and what I truly wanted to do.
specialize with working with LGBTQIA+, minorities, and issues relating to them. I enjoy learning more and specializing in anxiety, trauma, social justice, and abuse.
My ideal client is an individual that is willing to be involved in the counseling process. I know that's not every person and that's okay. But it will be such a great time to feed off each other. I can understand the client better to help guide and strengthen the experience through this type of interaction.
My approach is focused on the client. It is about understanding who you are in the here and now, your past and your strengths. I want to help you by understanding all of who you are and what affects you. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques as well as Gestalt techniques. These techniques not only allow me to help you grow but help you understand yourself even more.
Don't feel intimated by me! I'm here to create a positive environment where you feel accepted and can be honest. I want you to be honest with me because I will be honest with you the whole way.
